Audit Manager

This is a rare opportunity to work alongside a talented and supportive Manager/Partner, utilizing your up-to-date technical knowledge and effective communication skills to plan and manage audits, identify key risk areas, and ensure statutory requirements are met. You’ll be leading on-site teams, meeting client deadlines and budgets, and reporting audit progress to directors. In addition, you’ll be responsible for preparing financial statements for clients and year-end accounts for limited companies, and assisting with ad-hoc duties as needed.
Our client is seeking a qualified accountant with ACCA/ACA/CA certification and experience of managing and supervising teams. You’ll be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism whilst taking ownership of your role. You’ll also have a keen eye for detail, be able to maintain budgets and work to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities of the audit senior will include:
- Planning audits and identifying key risk areas
- Managing the audit process, including on site teams
- Ensuring that all statutory requirements are complied with
- Ensuring that client deadlines are met and to budget
- Reporting audit progress to the directors
- Attending final audit review meetings with the directors and clients
- Preparing financial statements for clients
- Preparation of year end accounts for limited companies
- Assisting with ad-hoc duties as and when required
Qualifications and skills
- Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CA
- Experience of managing and supervising team
- Technically sound and up-to-date with latest auditing and reporting standards
- Able to work closely with the Manager/Partner
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and take ownership of role
- Maintain budgets and work to meet the deadlines
