Lead Business Analyst (Interim)

Job Title: Lead Business Analyst

Contract: Interim, 3 months

Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join their team on an interim basis. As a Lead Business Analyst, you will be responsible for leading and managing the team to deliver project artefacts to the highest level. You will ensure that corporate/departmental processes and procedures are followed for all areas of engaged delivery. You will effectively manage budgets as required and create project financial profiles for inclusion in decision making artefacts e.g. business case.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the team to deliver project(s) artefacts to the highest level • Ensure that corporate/departmental processes and procedures are followed for all areas of engaged delivery
• Effectively manage budgets as required and create project(s) financial profile for inclusion in decision making artefacts e.g. business case
• Monitor and evaluate the performance and quality of delivery of artefacts
• Stakeholder engagement to assimilate detail of business needs
• In collaboration with delivery colleagues to deliver project(s)
• Coach and support staff to deliver project artefacts through collaborative stakeholder engagement
• Recommend areas for continuous improvement through delivery
• Communicate effectively with customers/stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborate constructively with stakeholders to enable delivery of artefacts for assigned project(s)

Technical Skills:
• Develop and deliver a range of artefacts including but not exclusive to: o Business Case o BRD – User requirements o Functional and non-functional requirements o Financial profile for projects o As-Is, To-Be process maps o Workflows o Information flows o User research detail o etc
• Engage with 3rd party partners e.g. Resellers, SI, procurement
• Lead and collaborate on assessment or technological change initiatives and recommend options/solutions
• Lead and have responsibility for enabling technological change initiatives, defining needs and recommending solutions that will deliver value for council departments
• Map and design new processes, develop and deliver user research, customer journeys, resource requirements, design technology requirements, workflows, and information flows
• Work closely with key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify priorities against a number of competing activities, at times with demanding deadlines on an ongoing basis

• Leadership and management to motivate the team to deliver project(s) artefacts to the highest level

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related field
• At least 7 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years of experience in leading teams
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of Business Analysts to deliver to deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage budgets and create project financial profiles
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Passion for the subject matter expertise and the ability to share that passion with others.
