Our client is a technology provider to the market research industry, and they’re looking for a Test Engineer to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will have experience in data analysis, automated testing, & related problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret software development specifications and design documents
• Write, execute, and record test results for mobile, desktop, and web applications
• Reproduce issues experienced by users and analyse test data output and results
• Produce documentation on application usage
• Work alongside developers, testers, user experience, and other roles
• Adhere to company policies and procedures with respect to security, quality, and health and safety
• Train to acquire the ISTQB Foundation Test certification

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has a keen interest in the changing media landscape, the business models that are succeeding, and the insights into consumer behaviour needed to win in the space
• Has shaped the development of commercially successful software and data products
• Works well and remains motivated when outcomes are uncertain and a high degree of ambiguity exists
• Is confident in presenting to and questioning a wide range of stakeholders across role types and seniority levels
• Is an excellent verbal and written communicator and can explain complex technical or business requirements in a way that anyone can understand
• Has experience making difficult prioritization decisions
• Is unafraid of difficult conversations and constructively challenging views that do not align with their strategic goals

Desirable Experience:

• Experience building or using consumer measurement products
• A deep understanding of consumer data capture, processing, and reporting
• Knowledge and/or experience of entertainment industry data sets and insight products
• An understanding of the content licensing industry
• Experience working with partner organizations and complex value chains
• Competent user of Atlassian and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with SQL queries of databases for data extraction
