Payroll Team Leader

Can you demonstrate that you have experience of managing a team of payroll professionals?

In the Payroll Team Leader role you’ll report to the Payroll Manager and will be primarily responsible for the management of the payroll team, whilst supporting the Payroll Manager with process improvement and creating efficiency.
Specifically, you’ll be tasked with developing and improving the skills and experiences of the existing payroll team.
You’ll also be tasked with supporting the Payroll Manager to create efficiency and implementing new processes.
You’ll spend part of the working week based in the company’s Birmingham office, and the rest of it working from home. Details around how this will work will be revealed on application.
The standard working hours for this job are 9am – 5pm.
To be the right person for Payroll Team Leader role you will need direct experience of managing a team of payroll professionals.
We also need you to have prior experience of:
– Payroll software
– Manual calculations of payroll
– Dealing with HMRC
It’s important that you also have the following:
– Cipp or have equivalent practical experience within a payroll team
– Strong excel skills
– Strong communication skills
We need you to be able to work off your own initiative and be flexible and adaptable under pressure.

The basic salary for the Payroll Team Leader role is between £28,000 – £32,000 per annum.
